“Tapos na ‘ko sa ‘yo” is short way of saying “Tapos na ako sa iyo” in Tagalog which means “I’m so done with you”. The song, Tapos Na, illustrates this very statement: right person, wrong time, as well as the turmoil that comes with it. It was drawn from my past experiences with meeting someone I like but knowing it won't work out thanks to various things from physical aspects like work and responsibilities to internal things like unresolved emotional wounds. Meeting that cold hard truth amidst the rose-coloured lovliness of a blossoming relationship can drive you to give up and cut them off.
